Tactile Escape

Hospitality Study | 2025

This project reimagines a compact hotel guest suite through a concept centered on texture, material layering, and sensory comfort. Drawing inspiration from the textile work of Canadian artist Martha Cole and the place-driven design approach of Fogo Island Inn, the design introduces warm natural materials, layered lighting, and clearly defined zones for sleeping, working, and relaxing. The result is a tactile and restorative hospitality environment that enhances the guest experience while working within the constraints of the existing hotel room layout.
