A Gilded Scatter

A Gilded Scatter explores maximalism through the design of a custom rug inspired by Victorian ornamentation. A traditional motif is reinterpreted through variations in scale, colour, and repetition to create a dynamic, contemporary pattern. The project investigates how historical decorative language can be translated into a modern interior context. The final proposal includes rug construction specifications, material selections, and an interior concept illustrating the design within a curated maximalist living environment.
